LOS ÁNGELES, EE.UU.— A lo largo de le época de los 70’s y una parte de los 80’s, previo al arribo de Magic Johnson y Larry Bird, la liga más importante del baloncesto Mundial se caracterizaba por ser una llena de patanes y ‘bullies’.
El uso de drogas y las contantes peleas y líos dentro de sus duelas dejaban muy poco que desear.
Y no fue hasta que, que, como reiteramos, llegaron los ‘salvadores de la NBA’, representados en Larry Bird y Magic Johnson, que las cosas cambiaron, casi por completo.
Y digo casi, porque el cambio no fue total, por obvias razones.
Las malas costumbres y el pobre comportamiento de algunos dentro y fuera de sus respectivas canchas, había mermado en las taquillas y, además, apartado a gran parte de la afición.
Tras el arribo de Bird y Magic, se iniciaron a dar —lentamente— algunos cambios, sin que sea necesario explicarles las barreras del color que en ese momento no cesaban de existir, debido su tez, y que enardecieron un duelo entre ‘equipos blancos’ y ‘equipos negros’ dentro de la NBA.

En el caso específico de Kuzma, un lobo feroz que ataca el aro como ninguno. Y mezclado con un temperamento, por lejos ejemplar, y un temple digno de envidiar, promete para ser el líder a futuro, que los Lakers han añorado desde la salida de Magic y Shaq.

Un gesto por lejos digno de su debido reconocimiento y muestra de que el futuro de la Liga queda en buenas manos.
